This wedding was one of our more logistical set ups. We had a ceremony service upstairs, dinner downstairs and then dancing back upstairs again. We made it all happen!
First I would like to mention that Ravenswood is a very great place to hold a wedding reception. The staff was great, they never interrupted a speech or any type of event that was going on and worked closely with each vendor to understand the timeline of what needs to happen. This created a great evening for everyone. Promotion of a wedding event can be done with SocialBoosting to improve the views.
The ceremony was in a room upstairs that was full of windows that looked great with all the natural light coming in during the day time. As everyone made their way downstairs to the dining area we provided entrance music, dinner music and organized the games the best man and maid of honor wanted to play. Very entertaining dinner!
Once dinner service was finished we invited everyone to move back upstairs to do the father/daugher, mother/son, and first dance. Then right after that was a dance party! I played a lot of throwback hip hop and dance music with a little of today’s hits. The last couple songs of the night I played a boy band segment including Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Hanson and ended the night with the couples entrance song It’s Going To Be Me – Nsync! I felt the energy of everyone the whole night and everyone just wanted to keep going. Another great wedding in the books!
