August 2015 | Wedding | Tom and Allie

Tom and Allie
August 2015
Patrick Haley Mansion, Joliet, IL
I’ve known Tom well before college and met Allie in college.  Knowing them, their family and friends, I already knew their wedding was going to be a great time.  Their wedding took place at the beautiful Patrick Haley mansion in Joliet, IL.  Plenty of windows gave the room a lot of natural light during the day.  The room was characterized by white walls, ceiling drapery and gold accents, a perfect setting for weddings.
Tom and Allie really knew how to make their wedding their own.  I assume they are “Game of Thrones” fans since their cake cutting song was the theme song from the show.  Tom also added a surprise to the mother son dance throwing in Silento’s “Watch Me” in the middle of the dance.  Tom and Allie’s first dance was to Usher’s “Something Special” followed by “Sayaw Sa Bangko,” a traditional Filipino cultural “bench” dance, which the two of them performed in college shows together.
The open dance part of the night was among the best we’ve had this season.  Their guests definitely came to party and I say we delivered!  Throwback hip-hop always does well, but I was also able to sneak in a few throwback dance songs like Cascada’s “Everytime We Touch,” a song we all enjoyed in college.
Doing weddings of people we know is always a good time and there’s no better way to unite with old friends!
