July 2015 | Wedding | Brad and Jessica

Location: St. Marty Memorial Hall in Sycamore

X-Fade provided DJ, emcee, party lights and uplighting.

“Mr. & Mrs. and They Lived Happily Ever After” was one of the signs I saw at the head table and I know it will hold true!  They had many pictures of them displayed around the room along with a description on what and where they were from and why it was significant to their relationship.

Dinner was from Portillos!  You can never go wrong with that!  For the dancing portion we played a lot of Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, and 60’s 70’s music early on. As the night progressed, we switched it up to top 40 and country.  The Groom’s only request for this whole wedding was he wanted to hear Hick Town by Jason Aldean.  A funny man he was.   It was a great party with high energy from everyone the entire night!

July 2015 | Wedding | Christian and Ha

Location: Fountain Blue, Des Plaines, IL

Its been a while since we were at the Fountain Blue and was great to be back!

X-Fade provided the DJ, emcee, party lighting, and uplights.

The night started out with live music covers performed by Julian Bell and Elijah Knoll during cocktail hour.  They covered several modern hits and nostalgic classics for everyone to enjoy.  We felt the audience’s high energy from the beginning and immediately knew we were in for a great night.

The grand entrance was quite entertaining.  Each group of 1 bridesmaid along with 2 groomsmen selected their own songs to walk into.  The parents of the groom surprised everyone by entering to Silento’s “Watch Me,” otherwise known as the whip and nae nae song.  Christian and Ha fittingly walked out to Heaven Sent by Keyshia Cole.

Dinner was then served followed by speeches by the Maid of Honor, Best Man and Brother of the Groom that had the room in tears, including us!  Following dinner, guests were invited to go outside to light up sparklers for a festive display, considering it was also Independence Day.  We then had their mother/son, father/daugter and first dances which went straight into open dance for the remainder of the night.  The dance floor was slammed the entire night as we played top 40, hip-hop and some old school Euro Dance that took us back to the days we first starting spinning!

We were grateful for the compliments of our services that night especially from the parents of both sides of the family.  It doesn’t get much more rewarding than that!

June 2015 | Wedding | Jherry & Jasmin

Location: Bottom Lounge in West Loop, Chicago

Talk about unique weddings, Jason & Jeff were the DJ’s and MC for Jherry & Jasmin’s wedding at Bottom Lounge Chicago, in which this venue does not only hold events for live music and shows, but they hold weddings too!
The night consisted of lots of 90’s R&B, hip-hop, and dance, to today’s top hits that had everyone singing along and dancing throughout the night. Jason, who doubles as our beloved line-dance instructor, even had some assistance teaching the popular “Todo-Todo” and “Wobble” line dances, thanks to the step-by-step instruction cards everyone received upon arriving.
Overall, an amazingly unique wedding in one great venue.

June 2015 | Wedding | Eric and May

Location: Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, IL

It’s been a while since we’ve done a gig at Drury Lane and we were glad to have a booking there this year.  We provided our DJ and emcee services as well as A/V and uplighting.  We were happy to once again collaborate with our friend and photographer David Lai, who always does outstanding work.  We also worked with videographer Joe Han.

The wedding was jam packed with events, mixing elements of modern and traditional Chinese culture.  The bride had a couple of dress changes throughout the night to display some of their culture.  Other events include the introduction of both sides of the family and an emotional slideshow.

June 2015 | Wedding | Mike and Eunice

Location: Esplanade Lakes Ballroom in Downers Grove

Before even the event started we walked into this Ballroom and was stunned on how amazing this venue was.

Here is what I found from the site about this venue.

Take in a spectacular 360-degree view of Esplanade Lake and the forest preserve, Morton Arboretum, through the floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the Esplanade Lakes by DoubleTree ballroom. This 9,500 sq. ft. round ballroom provides an exceptional backdrop for any event. Described as a unique wedding venue in the metropolitan area, the Esplanade Lakes by DoubleTree has been featured in renowned print and online publications and a Chicago television station.

X-Fade provided the sound for the ceremony which included a live performance from the grooms friends.  At the reception we provided DJ, emcee, party lighting, and up-lights.  The dancing part of the night was great and got compliments from both the bride and groom.
